DeepFlo Series 90

Captive/Slave Pallet Flow

DeepFlo Series 90 Captive/Slave Pallet Storage Systems allow maximum flexibility in design by allowing customized intersecting flow rails and vertical cascading 'Z' Rails. This allows for the efficient storage of a large number of items within a vertical rack space and allows you to maximize your usage of vertical storage space.

Slave Pallets and Captive Pallets are used for carrying non-conveyable pallets or item such as sacks, drums, bales, etc. DeepFlo Series 90 are manufactured on 4" and 6" centers. Typical Pallet Weights: 200 lbs to 3500 lbs. DeepFlo Series 90 rails are specifically designed to accommodate slave or captive pallets (see slave & captive). When incorporated in a complete system, Series 90 rails are capable of storing over (25) slave or captive pallets deep per lane in a FIFO configuration. Actual number of pallets per lane is only limited by the slope of 1/4" per floor and the building's clear (usable) ceiling height. LIFO configurations can be greater than (7) deep depending on the type of fork lift used, pallet weight, and floor conditions (wet, slick, ice etc.) the type of slave or captive pallets will vary depending on:

  • pallet load weight
  • storage conditions, wet or dry
  • the possibility of interfacing with other existing pallet storage systems
  • possible abuse received by fork trucks
  • hand holds required
  • wash down requirements
  • special load requirements (drums)

Captive Pallet

Captive Pallets are used for storing either unitized or slip sheet loads with out a shipping pallet.

The standard system configuration of a DSS Series 90 System uses two (2) Flow Rails/Pallets. System entry & discharge areas often use cantilevered rail supports. Pallet weight should be from 200 lbs to 3,000 lbs per load. Different pallet weights can be stored in the same lane.

Slave Pallet

Slave Pallets are used for storing palletized loads on a throw away or light duty pallet that is not capable of supporting the load with-in the Flow System.
